2025 WBF Recipient Spotlight: Love for Red

The Waukee Betterment Foundation is proud to recognize Love for Red as one of our 2025 grant recipients. This year, our foundation awarded $500 to support their important work ensuring students and families in our community have access to free menstrual products.

Love for Red plays a vital role in reducing barriers for students by creating “period packs” and providing supplies directly in Waukee Schools. As the need continues to grow, the organization also offers resources and products at community events—such as Back-to-School Fairs—so families can easily access what they need with dignity and confidence.

Our support will help offset product and operational costs, allowing Love for Red to continue expanding its reach and meeting the increasing demand for menstrual equity in Waukee.

We are grateful for the work they do and proud to help further their mission. Through the generosity of our donors and the growth of our endowment with the Community Foundation, we look forward to supporting organizations like Love for Red for generations to come.
