2025 WBF Grant Recipient Spotlight: Waypoint Resources

The Waukee Betterment Foundation is honored to recognize Waypoint Resources as one of our 2025 grant recipients. This year, we awarded $2,000 to support their mission of serving as a vital safety net for Waukee residents facing food insecurity, financial challenges, and other basic needs.

Waypoint Resources’ impact reaches deeply into the Waukee community. With a strong volunteer base made up largely of Waukee residents, the organization ensures that children, families, and seniors have access to essential resources close to home. Their dedication strengthens our community by offering dignity, stability, and support to those who need it most.

As the demand for their services continues to grow, so does the need for a more efficient and secure workspace. This grant will help Waypoint Resources invest in mobile shelving, food rescue totes, food transport dollies, and a safer Anytime Room check-in specialist chair. These improvements will allow their team to stay organized, protect donated goods, and better serve local families with care and compassion.

We are grateful for the work Waypoint Resources does every day to uplift our neighbors. With the continued growth of our endowment through the Community Foundation, we are committed to supporting organizations like theirs for years to come.
