2025 WBF Grant Recipient Spotlight: Everybody Wins!

The Waukee Betterment Foundation is proud to recognize Everybody Wins! as one of our 2025 grant recipients. This year, we awarded $500 to support their mission of helping children thrive in school and in life through the power of mentorship and reading.

Everybody Wins! strengthens student confidence and literacy through its signature Power Read program—weekly one-to-one read-aloud sessions that pair students with caring adult mentors. These meaningful relationships not only foster reading skills, but also provide encouragement, stability, and connection, helping students build a foundation for long-term success.

This grant will directly benefit Power Read students at Maple Grove Elementary School. Many of the volunteers who pour into these students are Waukee residents, making the program a true community effort that uplifts both children and mentors alike.

We are grateful for the impact Everybody Wins! has on young readers in Waukee. With the continued growth of our endowment, we look forward to supporting organizations like this for generations to come.
