Enjoy an afternoon of fun for all adults of all ages and abilities. Up to 10 games have been designed for teamwork, camaraderie and networking in a fun atmosphere. Proceeds from the event will support the Waukee Betterment Foundation’s Endowment Fund. Cost is $500 per team.

The inaugural Waukee Betterment Games will take place on the afternoon of September 18, 2025, at Centennial Park in Waukee. The games are designed to promote teamwork, camaraderie and networking in a fun atmosphere, offering light physical effort and mental stimulation. Please note that modifications to the games may be made up to the time of the event to accommodate scheduling and the number of teams involved.

Obstacle Course
This station will have several rounds for multiple player participation including relays with other team members.
Egg and Spoon Race
The "egg and spoon race" is a classic game where participants must run a set distance while balancing an egg on a spoon, with the first person reaching the finish line without dropping their egg being declared the winner.
Solo Cup Pyramid Building and Three-Legged Race
This will be a Three-legged race from one end to the other. The two participants will switch partners and race back. The runners will tag a team member that builds the solo cut pyramid.
Teambuilding Skis
Team members must work together to coordinate movement to get their ski’s to the finish line.
Human Word Find
This mentally challenging activity challenges participants to create words with small wooden letters by searching through hundreds of letters.
Axe Throwing and Puzzle
Axe throwing is a blown-up board where teams throw soft axes at the target to score points. After a minimum number of points are scored, the team then must solve a brainteaser.
Puzzle Madness
A play on typical puzzles as a team is tasked with putting a puzzle together without knowing the actual picture.
Wheelchair Basketball
The team with the winning score after 10 minutes wins.
Human Ring Toss and Bags
There will be 3 circles with humans standing in them. 2 throwers. Throwers must ring each human one time for the win! Then move onto the bags game.
Wipeout!
This physically challenging game has participants competing to be the last person standing.
Water Bucket Fill Race
Using sponges, frisbees or small cups, the first team to fill their bucket wins!
